"True happiness is totally independent. True happiness has no reason. Otherwise, it is not happiness but just a momentary feeling. ‘I found a partner, I feel happy. I got a job, I feel happy. I bought a car, I feel happy.’ – Now, does this happiness belong to me or to the car? It belongs to the car. By the time that car is taken away from me, the happiness is also gone, because this happiness comes from it.

We have become dependent on all those momentary inputs to make us feel good. And when we are dependent, we are on the run – we have to work so hard to earn this input. We want people to appreciate us, acknowledge us, accept us – there is a constant need for energy to make us feel happy. And that kind of happiness, dependent happiness, is not good for us. It will ultimately lead to depression or disappointment, because the whole world needs to provide this energy to us to feel good. At one point we will fail.

When my happiness is not conditioned by any external input, when my happiness is not dependent on any activities around me, that is true happiness – I am just happy.

How is it possible to just be happy?

True happiness arises when love is flowing through me. That is the only way to achieve true happiness. Love is like a river – it arises and flows through me, expresses through me. Whatever I sense stimulates this flow of love, and it is not controlled by me. My flow of love is not defined, scrutinized, discriminated by me. When I am rejecting someone, I am closing my tap of love. If I am not happy, it means that I am not allowing love to flow through me. If I don't allow love to flow through me, I will not be able to see the beauty of this life. Naturally, I will not be happy.

True happiness is when love flows unconditionally. So don't build a dam in the river of love and accumulate it. Let your love flow through you. The more it flows, the more you feel happy. The more this love flows through you, the more you will see the beauty of this life. The more you see the beauty of this life, the more you will feel the freedom of this life and you will realize that you are already there.

Life is beautiful and this is the only opportunity that we have – in this way, in this body, on this planet, at this time, in this constellation. Whatever situation you are in, whatever talent, whatever skill, whatever opportunity you have, it is all given to you to express this love. It is all given to you to transcend. It is all given to you to develop this capacity, to develop your potential to express your love. Don't underestimate yourself.
