Ecology & Spirituality

For Personal and Global Transformation

The earth functions like a living organism, a web of life, with a vast intelligence and capacity. This unique course experience is a rediscovery of the spiritual dimension in our relationship with the earth and with ourselves. It aims to create an opportunity to find your sense of belongingness and connectedness with yourself.

The Ecology and Spirituality course is a life changing education, recognizing the infinite potential of the human existence. It explores the beauty of expanding oneself beyond the limited understanding of our human perspective, life, the earth and our existence. This course offers contemplation, reflection, and realization connecting with the practical living experience and bringing ethical values into everyday life.

This course aims to support inner transformation through a joyful, creative, responsible contemplative living and learning experience in the community. The course deepens our understanding of the Self, guided by the process of Self Inquiry. The Ecology and Spirituality course offers its students an experience with ecological awareness and understanding of self-responsibility and self-sustainability. Here students are invited to actively participate, creating a self-organized, self-motivated, self-stimulated and inspiring learning atmosphere.

The educational program combines practical living experience with research, education, and organizing community-based strategies for positive social sustainability and effective ecological footprints. It offers experiential and experimental learning methods and serves as an inspiring source for a deeper understanding of ecology, sustainability and a holistic world.

This is a 4 months living and learning experience in the spiritual and ecological community at Sri Vast Ashram, India. Here the self motivated learning offers the students a practical and theoretical knowledge for self sustainability and tools to continue a professional development.

A holistic way of living and learning at Sri Vast Ashram:

Studying at the Ashram’s Center for Ecology and Spiritual Studies is a grounded, transformative and joyous learning!
Participating in the Ashram rhythm (incl. morning yoga, meditation, seva – selfless service, chanting, Satsangs) gives the students a wider perspective of their studies and practical experience of a holistic healthy lifestyle.
